Sleepy Fox

Sold Out

£150

Online Zoom Class

Saturday 22 January and Saturday 29 January 2022 2pm – 4.30pm (UK Time)

This design was inspired by the family of foxes the Tutor shares her front garden with. Facing directly onto a stretch of Ancient Woodland they can often be seen sloping through at all hours of the day and night, sometimes even with their babies. This little fox has been caught having a daytime nap in the long grass and daisies at the edge of the wood. He’s saying ‘I know you’re there, but please don’t disturb me, I’m really very comfy!’

The design measures 14.5 cm in diameter and is worked on a grey linen base fabric with embroidery completed in a range of Au Ver A Soie and Stef Francis silk threads.

The class is suitable for all levels of ability, including complete beginners. The Tutor will guide you through the basic stitches of Stem Stitch, Straight Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knots and Detached Chain Stitch and give you some useful tips along the way, including suggestions as to how you may wish to finish your work.

All materials will be supplied; fabric with printed design, threads, needles, and a full instruction book with step by step pictures.

There will be plenty of opportunity during the class to ask the Tutor questions and in advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed to you along with an invitation to join the class on the day.

The class kit will be posted out to you. Your kit includes everything you need including a full colour, step by step instruction booklet. The only things you’ll need are an 8” ring frame and embroidery scissors. .It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
